VA hospital parking structure

Wadsworth Brothers built this $3.7 Million parking structure expansion for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The addition will provide 353 more parking stalls for our veterans.  Executing the project required detailed logistics planning to maintain patron parking and access to the hospital.  WBC provided vibration monitoring and mitigation on the project to help the VA protect sensitive operation room equipment from damage.  Accommodating the VA’s operational needs during construction required tight coordination.   Due to extensive underground utilities within the VA Hospital campus, WBC performed extensive subsurface utility engineering services to locate and coordinate relocation of critical hospital utilities during construction.   Protecting the VA’s vital utility infrastructure during construction was a challenge successfully met by WBC.   The parking structure is a post-tensioned long-span beam and slab structure.  This 110,000 square foot addition was completed September 2017.
