Wadsworth Brothers Construction Company, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to work in Draper, Utah. Duties: (1) (a) Collect historical cost data to estimate cost for current project; (b) analyze project plans and specifications; (c) prepare project estimates including take-off to be used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work; (d) collect and analyze subcontracts and perform subcontract buyout to secure project subcontracts for execution; (2) (a) Under direction of the project manager, draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for structural concrete projects for approval by Engineer of Record and field use; (b) Perform initial formwork and falsework design for management review and approval; (c) Perform initial reshore design for management review and approval; (3) (a) Under direction of the project manager, review project contractual requirements and develop initial project logistical plans for management review and approval; (b) Develop initial project schedule and sequencing; (4) Under direction of the project manager, and using project management system software, organize and manage project documentation including Request for Information (RFI), Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI), contract drawings, shop drawings, project correspondence, and pay requests; (5) (a) Inspect and review submitted shop drawing for compliance with the general contract and project specifications; (b) Coordinate with subcontractors on shop drawing revisions and re-submittals; (6) (a) Under the direction of the project manager and project superintendent, assist in project control and layout through use of CAD software; (b) communicate layout information to field personnel; and (7) such other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned. Travel and work at remote jobsite locations within the Intermountain West Region of the United States is required – frequency depends on construction market factors with duration of up to 9 months. Requirements: (1) Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely-related field; (2) Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in the use of the following: (a) AutoCAD; (b) Excel; (c) Word; (d) Procore Project Management System; (e) Sketchup; (f) Planswift; and; (g) Primavera P6. (3) Demonstrated ability to: (a) visualize construction sequencing and logistics; and (b) design formwork and falsework systems; and (4) Demonstrated willingness to travel and work on remote jobsite locations within the Intermountain West of the USA for duration of up to 9 months.
